Why This Event Matters

As the nation looks ahead to America’s 250th anniversary in 2026, the need to engage young people in their communities has never been more urgent. Today, only 1 in 4 young people regularly participate in volunteering, service, civic engagement, or leadership—leaving millions without access to meaningful opportunities to contribute and lead.

With support from Youth Service America (YSA), Triple C is hosting a New Era of Youth Service in America Statewide Forum to bring together partners from across sectors to reflect, learn, and collaborate on solutions that expand youth participation.

What to Expect

This interactive forum will provide space for learning, discussion, and collective visioning. Participants will:

  • Explore the current state of youth service and common barriers to participation
  • Learn from themes emerging through YSA’s national listening tour
  • Envision what a New Era of Youth Service could look like in Ohio
  • Identify strategies to double youth participation in service, civic engagement, and leadership
  • Discuss promising policy and systems-level approaches that support youth engagement
  • Connect with peers and partners working across education, nonprofit, and public sectors

The forum is designed to elevate partner voices and ensure that local experiences help shape national strategy.

This event is open to anyone who works with or on behalf of young people, including:

  • Nonprofit and community-based organizations
  • K–12 educators and school administrators
  • Higher education faculty, staff, and students
  • Government and public sector partners
  • Youth-serving networks and coalitions
