Honoring 9/11 Through Community Service
In recognition of the 25th anniversary of 9/11, Triple C member campuses are participating in 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance. Denison University, the University of Akron, and Marietta College received grant funding through The Alliance’s partnership with 9/11 Day and AmeriCorps to support meaningful service projects that bring students, campuses, and community partners together.
Propel Ohio 2026: America at 250
Registration is open for the Propel Ohio Collegiate Leadership Summit, taking place October 2 at Bowling Green State University. This year’s theme, America at 250: Preparing the Next Generation of Civic Leaders, will bring students and campus leaders together for a day focused on civic participation, dialogue, leadership, and community impact.
Meet Triple C’s New AmeriCorps VISTA Members
Triple C welcomes Cael McCutcheon and Shelby Metzger, who are beginning Communities Thriving AmeriCorps VISTA service at Marietta College. Their work will focus on strengthening campus-community connections, expanding engagement opportunities, and supporting the Center for Appalachian Innovation.
Building Ohio’s Student Basic Needs Network
Triple C recently joined the College Student Basic Needs – Great Lakes Community of Practice in Columbus to learn from colleagues across the region. The gathering comes as Triple C launches its own Student Basic Needs Task Force, creating new opportunities to learn, collaborate, and support Ohio campuses in meeting students’ basic needs.
