The Charles J. Ping Student Service Award is named in honor of former Ohio University President Dr. Charles J. Ping, a longtime advocate for community engagement in higher education. This award recognizes undergraduate students at Community Campus Coalition (Triple C) member institutions who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to community service or service-learning.
These students represent the next generation of civic leaders and problem solvers, actively working to address critical issues in their communities. Whether through organizing volunteer efforts, leading service-learning initiatives, or advocating for social change, these individuals inspire their peers and make a lasting impact.
